VALENTINE'S DAY VOLUNTEER
APPRECIATION LUNCHEON

On February 12th OSL had a chance to thank more than 65 of our hard-working volunteers with a luncheon given in their honor. Lake City Presbyterian, our Friday prep site, hosted the event. Our Executive Director Beverly Graham, staff members, Lynn Mathews, Susan Daily, and Malachi Hernandez, and special guest, Chef Dave Mathews prepared a salmon feast with vegetable quiche, new red potatoes, broccoli, salad and sparkling cider. Lynn and Susan wheeled out an amazing desert trolley while Executive Director Beverly and her band featuring Joe Carolus & Ken Wright, entertained the troops.
Volunteers from each of our three food prep sites
gathered for the first time at this event. This group
represents over fifteen thousand volunteer hours each year!

As we move through the spring and summer months, we have many volunteer opportunities. We need YOUR help to continue to offer our outstanding service. If you would like to volunteer please call our Volunteer
Coordinator and Program Manager Lynn Mathews, at
(425) 820-2932.

Sleeping Bag Campaign
Update

During the 1999-2000 winter season OSL handed out more than 750 new sleeping bags. A profound thank you to Susan and
Michael Swift and all our donors who helped us provide new sleeping bags to those sleeping out in the elements. We have a good head start on next season. These are life-saving pieces of equipment during the cold winter months. We continue to
accept sleeping bag donations throughout the year for the next winter season. Thank you for your help.

Donations can be sent to:
